Dear Friends, Welcome on board to the regular news letter to a few new people today. I managed to pick some new email addresses from Anne. Sorry you've missed some of the previous emails but I'm glad that you're here now. Psalm 68:19–20 (ESV) Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears us up; God is our salvation. Selah Our God is a God of salvation, and to GOD, the Lord, belong deliverances from death. David who wrote these words had proved them again and again. The God who taught him to sing and gave him joy was the same God who delivered him quite literally in times of moral danger. Each day we remember just how kind and gracious God is to give us another day. He is the one who daily gives us strength and particularly in the Lord Jesus he is the one who owns deliverance. Prayer Meeting I'm really looking forward to prayer meeting tonight. It seemed to work well with people taking it in turns to pray by raising a hand and then being called on so for the time being we will continue with that. If you find the Zoom prayer meeting too difficult please consider ringing someone on the phone to pray with them. It may well be that are others who can't join on a Wednesday for various reasons and it would be a way you could serve. If so let me know. It's also been suggested that we could have more prayer together and we thought we could start that by meeting together to pray from 10:00am to 10:20am on a Sunday morning before the morning service. One of the elders will be there to guide that meeting so please do come and pray. It will be the same link as above. I have always been encouraged by stories of the Prayer Meeting on a Sunday Morning at the Met Tab where Charles Spurgeon pastored. The number of those attending those meetings was in the hundreds. Wouldn't it be great if people were so keen to pray that God's word would go out in power that we had to run more than one meeting on a Sunday morning? God bless Paul
