Getting the Message

Are you prepared to explore and challenge the perceptions of human life and existence you currently hold?  Don't you want to make sure you have the right view, not just one based upon other's thoughts and ideas?  Written to do just that we invite you to consider the following messages.

A Happy Christmas?

Christmas is such a wonderful time of year! The presents, lights, parties, plenty of food and some great television. It’s a lovely time for families, catching up and enjoying time with those you love. It’s a romantic time of year, especially if it snows, with carols and church bells chiming. Perhaps it’s your chance to go to midnight mass? Click here

Faith - You are Kidding?

Don’t talk to me about your faith as though it has any relevance. So you’ve got faith have you? You say there is a God and that you know and trust Him through faith! What you mean is that you have no proof at all that there is God but you still want to believe that there is “something out there”.  Click here

The Final Victory?

We are so very familiar with stories and accounts of war and yet these things are so distant, so unimaginable.  But did those great victories really make us any better, any more loving, understanding, tolerant or kind?  Are we really a more civilised world now?  Or is the problem deeper, closer to home, more personal, inward? A good night out?

You just can't beat it! An evening out with friends down the pub. A great time, forgetting the cares and worries of normal life, a bit of escapism. But then, come the morning it never quite feels as good. The kids woke me early and I argued with my girlfriend about some pretty trivial stuff - they should know not to get in my face after a night out.  But it will happen again, like an endless circle. I will be out tonight and sore tomorrow. There will be shouting and crying all over again. But what else is there to do?  We are all just here, rubbing along taking what we can, but it all does feel a bit pointless at times! Click here

Trying too hard?

I was furious.  I had driven all that way, carefully sticking to the speed limit for three hours.  Obeying the law, even when it seemed everyone else was overtaking me, especially on the fast roads.  Tell me, who else sticks to 70mph on the motorway?  And then bang, two minutes from my destination and flash, flash 3 points and a fine.  Just one mistake and all those good intentions and actions now counted for nothing.  Where is the justice in that?
