The subject of this series is the letter of Paul to the
Philippians. Paul had so many reasons to complain when he wrote this
letter. He was in prison facing possible execution. Some of his
companions had turned against him, and even the man who had brought
him a gift from Philippi had nearly died. Yet far from complaining,
Paul’s letter to this church is full of joy. First of all in the
Christians at Philippi, but chiefly with Jesus himself.
This is a relevant, helpful, and encouraging letter for
believers.
